With a recent rise in burglaries in the Ashby and Packington areas, PCSO 6633 visited Pathways at Holy Trinity Church today to speak with members of the public about how to stay safe and avoid becoming a victim.

Reassurance patrols and house-to-house visits in areas linked to recent incidents have also been carried out. These locations may hold vital information or could be at risk themselves.

If you didn’t get a chance to speak with Officer 6633 today, here are some simple but effective steps to help deter burglars:

🔒 Lock all doors and close windows
📹 Check that security devices (e.g. doorbell cameras, alarms) are charged and working
💡 Leave a light or radio on when you're out
👀 Report anything suspicious to police
